Housekeeper Charged With Stealing $1.5K From Westchester Employer

A 45-year-old Dutchess County woman has been arrested in Westchester following an investigation into thefts at a private residence where she had been employed as a cleaning person, Irvington Police said.

Irvington Police charged Andreia Laurie of Hopewell Junction with grand larceny in the fourth degree (which occurred on March 16, police said) and petit larceny (which occurred on Dec. 22). She is charged with stealing $1,030 and $500 in currency in the two incidents on Ardsley Avenue West.

Laurie was released after posting bail which was set in the amount of $1,000 cash or $1,000 bond and is due back in court on Monday, April 16.

She had been previously arrested by this agency in 2013 under similar circumstances, police said.
